Product Manager

  • Hybrid
    • Bicester, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom
  • FAT Karting League

This is the job for you if you’ve built operational tools, internal systems, or B2B/C platforms – and love turning messy processes into elegant digital systems. Apply now!

Job description

FAT Karting League’s mission is to achieve mass participation in motorsport by radically reducing the barriers to entry. We’re building an ecosystem that merges sport, education, and technology – challenging how motorsport talent is discovered and developed. The successful candidate will be joining a team passionate about shaping the future of racing from the ground up.

THE ROLE

We're hiring a Product Manager to own and drive the development of a multi-purpose software platform that will power our entire business: from our website, to monitoring global inventory, ticketing platform, staff training, and much more.

This isn’t a feature-tweaking role. You’ll plan, prioritise, and launch the foundation of how we scale across internally and B2C – and you’ll do it alongside a high-performing cross-functional team.

You’ll report to the Director of Growth and work closely with the wider leadership team.

If you’ve built operational tools, internal systems, or B2B/C platforms – and love turning messy processes into elegant digital systems – this is the job for you.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

You’ll help define and deliver a full platform with modules across:

  • Customer interfaces

  • Business operations

  • Data acquisition and visualisation

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Ownership

  • Lead the product roadmap for all platform modules

  • Translate user and business needs into product specs

  • Balance MVP speed with long-term architecture

Delivery Leadership

  • Drive delivery with developers, designers, and data teams

  • Partner closely with subject matter experts

  • Run project plans for each deliverable

Rollout Strategy

  • Deliver in meaningful, high-impact phases

  • Lead testing, feedback loops, and onboarding for staff

  • Measure impact and iterate fast

Stakeholder Communication

  • Work directly with senior leadership, local managers, and end users

  • Communicate progress, risk, and dependencies, supported by our Project Managers

  • Champion platform adoption – make it usable and essential

Job requirements

Experience & Qualifications

We’re open-minded on formal education – we care more about your product thinking and execution. That said, standout candidates may have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field – or equivalent real-world experience

  • Experience working in high-growth environments (startups, scale-ups, professional sports teams)

  • A track record of delivering end-to-end platform solutions – ideally used by both internal teams and end customers

  • Familiarity with no-code/low-code tools, data dashboards, and integrations between systems

  • Bonus: technical experience or education that supports structured problem-solving

What Sets You Apart

  • You’ve worked at the intersection of tech and operations – and love solving messy problems with digital solutions

  • You’ve used tools like Notion, Retool, Zapier, or SharePoint to build internal tools fast

  • You’ve led complex rollouts where adoption mattered as much as delivery

  • You care about STEM, engineering, or technical education – and want to build systems that empower others

  • You take ownership, move quickly, and stay calm in ambiguity

  • You care deeply about quality and refuse to settle for mediocrity
