  • On-site
    • Bicester, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom
  • FAT Karting League

Ready to play a part in the future of racing? Join us — and help power the next era of motorsport.

Job description

At FAT Karting League, our mission is to make motorsport truly accessible — achieving mass participation by radically lowering the barriers to entry. We’re building the future of racing, and we need exceptional mechanics to help us get there.

Based at our Oxfordshire facility, with some weekend travel to UK kart circuits, you’ll play a vital role in preparing, maintaining, and running our fleet of high-performance electric race karts. From the race bays to the race paddock, you’ll ensure every kart delivers outstanding reliability, parity, and presentation — reflecting our commitment to innovation and excellence.

If you’re a skilled, motivated mechanic who thrives under pressure and takes pride in elite-level race vehicle preparation, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, service, and fine-tune our electric race karts to the highest standard.

  • Prepare karts for race events, and complete post-race inspections, servicing, and repairs.

  • Deliver fast, precise mechanical work during live race weekends.

  • Support event logistics — including setup, transport, and paddock operations.

  • Maintain a professional, safe, and efficient workshop environment.

  • Take ownership of your area, supporting and mentoring other team members as the business grows.

  • Show initiative in improving processes, enhancing efficiency, and driving continuous improvement.

Job requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven hands-on mechanical experience - ideally in motorsport, karting, or high-performance vehicles.

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability, with an obsessive attention to detail.

  • Calm, adaptable, and capable of delivering under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills — confident working across technical and operational teams.

  • Organised, proactive, and ready to lead by example.

  • A genuine passion for motorsport and belief in our mission to change the industry.

  • Full UK driving licence and your own transport.

  • Experience with electric or hybrid vehicles, and/or live event environments, is a strong plus.

Why Join Us

You’ll be part of a tight-knit, ambitious team at the forefront of electric motorsport — shaping how the next generation experiences racing. Expect a hands-on, fast-paced environment where your expertise and initiative have a direct impact, both in the workshop and at the track.

As we grow, so will your opportunities: to innovate, take on new challenges, and help deliver world-class racing experiences.
